Through Lifetime Network’s Broad Focus Initiative to get more women behind the camera, Amy was hired to shoot four of the ten episodes for the Web series UNREAL: THE AUDITIONS. The series garnered an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Short Comedy Series Web series.
Amy is a 2016 participant of the AFI Conservatory Directing Workshop for Women, where she made the short episodic CARRY ME, which won the conservatory’s Jean Picker Firstenberg Award.
Her debut short, THE THIRD DATE, played at the Tribeca, Nantucket, London and Santa Monica film festivals. She wrote and directed WHAT SHOULD WE WATCH?, a short film starring Amy Landecker (TRANSPARENT), that debuted at the New Filmmakers Fall Series in New York City. Her short LARS & JONATHAN: A BERLIN FRIENDSHIP was commissioned for the 2014 Magical Secrecy Tour in Berlin.
Amy began her career as a journalist, contributing regularly to The New York Times Magazine and other national publications.
She lives in Los Angeles.
